President Trump is not a bureaucrat. ... and this drives the bureaucrats crazy. And it is also an opportunity for his haters in the media to attack him with snarky questions. A case in point: the media accuse him of playing doctor when he pushes the use of hydroxochloroquine as a possible treatment for the Chinese virus. Yes, if he strictly played by the rules, he would zip his lip. But, Trump is a rule breaker ... a trait that has served him well as a major builder. This has given him total confidence in his instincts.
Should he? Does he create enemies with this bull-in-a-chinashop approach? You betcha. Does he sometimes make mistakes? Obviously ... just count up his bankruptcies and all his many lawsuits. But he has made enough correct calls to make him a billionaire ... and get him elected president ... no small feats.
Some have compared Trump to General Patton ... another larger-than-life figure. I can see the juxtaposition. Patton too broke many rules ... and pissed off many of his higher-ups. But he got the job done ... and so does Trump. But, in Trump's case, his higher-ups are the American people ... forcing him to be more of a politician ... not his natural style ... yet a growing percentage of voters like his rule breaking style. Keep it up Orangeman!
