It now costs about $30 to commercially charge an electric car for 250 miles of travel .(in California, it is obviously more ... if you can get electricity during a power outage) ... or about 12 cents per mile. Now that gasoline is abou $2.20 per gallon (more in California) ... and this can transport your Chevrolet over 35 miles ... which translates to a little over 6 cents per mile. Wow! About half as much! Over a year of driving15,000 miles, this costs $900 extra. (Of course this may mean nothing to someone who pays $80,000 for their Tesla.)
This is not what we are led to believe ... I wonder why?
