Today’s Poser

L.A. Mayor Garcetti and public health officials

Is it at all possible that some local politicians and public health officials are using lockdowns and other draconian unconstitutional restrictions to cover for the fact that they are lazy and/or incapable ... and do not want to do the hard work of targeted testing, hot spot identification, effective isolation, contact tracing, virus spread analysis, medical resource allocation and effective communication?

(This is clearly the case with de Blasio in NYC.)

Why do you call them "unconstitutional restrictions" when we are in a declared state of emergency? Individual freedom has always been curtailed by perceived public danger.

The second wave of the pandemic is coming because blithering idiots don't understand the numbers. Close contact = increased spread. Statistical tricks cannot hide that simple fact.

Don’t want to be logical ... but how come Walmart can open, but not a small boutique? Seems that a lot of local pols have left their logic at the door. Are you rooting for the virus too?

A.A. meetings are verboten but liquor stores are open. Abortions clinics are open but elective surgery at hospitals verboten. In LA you can walk on wet sand but not dry sand. In Michigan you can fish from a canoe but not from a motor boat. The glitterati can get private haircuts but not plebeians. Etc.
