Take a Few Beats


Simple solutions to complex problems don’t always work ... but sometimes they do. That is why one should take a few beats before jumping in with an unstudied opinion about developments in convoluted situations ... like northern Syria.

Thoughtful people don't have time to read other peoples' blogs. Where is the fun in keeping one's shallow thoughts to oneself?
Trump sullied what could have been a great "We got him" announcement today because he could not resist comparing it to getting Bin Laden. Then, went on to thank our enemies.

Relative importance: Heard a relevant comment on TV this AM — Killing Bin Laden was an act of revenge ... whereas killing Baghdadi was disrupting future ISIS terrorism.

And I’m happy that we didn’t treat Baghdadi’s body with the same respect we showed Bin Laden’s ...

Relevant observation: Tomato - Tomahto.
If killing Bin Laden can be reduced to an "act of revenge," perhaps we might view Bagdadi as an attempt to divert attention from Trump's unstudied decision to abandon the Kurds.
