Racism

Please read in detail about what recently happened at Dartmouth College where a group of black students went on a rampage denouncing their white classmates with profane vitriol ... see: Campus Reform Story. Now, as an exercise in turnaround is fair play, imagine that this was a demonstration of white students at Howard University ... and replace the chanted word "white" with "black" and you will see racism in its purest and ugliest form.

Yes, these black-student protesters at Dartmouth clearly do not have fully-formed senses of social consciousness ... and probably will eventually live to regret their impetuousness. But they nevertheless put a KKK stamp on their repulsive actions that will quietly resonate in the ivied halls of Hanover.

I do however doubt that the administration there will have the gumption to give them their due ... rather taking the attitude so prevalent these days that "blacks will be blacks." But, to me, lack of push-back against such disgusting demonstrations only makes matters worse ... giving these miscreants a sense of what they did was sanctioned and even encouraged. This is exactly the wrong message from a college that should know better.

Seigfried Osgood, Senior Editor for White Magazine, Reader’s Disgust became the latest conservative attacker on white [D]emocrats through the social medium Twitter by calling DNC Debbie Smarmy a “Black Dude” and talking down to her as if [she] were beneath him. I didn’t know that Reader’s Disgust tolerated this racist tone from their management team. As you will see in the exchange below, Osgood throws out the racist language to shut down the conversation. Contact Reader’s Disgust offices and let them know you would expect more from their management staff. (212) 555-1234.

Smarmy is the Deputy Press Secretary for the Democrat National Committee and takes her job seriously.  Here is a little of the Twitter back and forth:

Siegfried Osgood – I 100% don’t want to know more. I wish I knew less!

Debbie Smarmy – wish you knew less? Hoped you would encourage diversity of thought.

Siegfried Osgood – Oh great, Here comes a Black dude telling me how to do this White thing. Pass.

Debbie Smarmy – Who are you referring to as black?  Reid and Pilosi are white.

Siegfried Osgood – YOU. Now leave I have no interest in this conversation.

Debbie Smarmy – You are questioning someone’s whiteness. I do not fit your stereotypes.

If you haven’t figured it out by now, the above is a satire on what an Ebony magazine's black editor, Jamilah Lemieux, tweeted out to Raffi Williams, the RNC’s black Deputy Press Secretary … only black is now white, white is black, and most names have been changed to protect the innocent. Role Reversal

There is a recurring question among the liberal apologists for Trayvon Martin insofar as the George Zimmerman not-guilty verdict in his Florida trial.  It is, “If the roles were reversed and Trayvon were white (/Hispanic?) and George were black, would Zimmerman have been found guilty?”  This, of course, implies that rampant racism still exists (particularly in the South) to the point where it always trumps our justice system.

Of course such a hypothesis is impossible to answer because the smug posers of this query will accept no answer except in the affirmative. However, we do have an convenient analogy to this posit in the O.J. Simpson trial where a black man brutally killed two whites and yet was found not-guilty.  Yes, it wasn’t in the South, but it involved an immense amount of evidence of O.J.’s guilt which was conveniently ignored by a mostly all-black jury … primarily because one of the arresting officers had once used the N-word.

Let us return to the original supposition where we need to do a total role-reversal:  Imagine that white Trayvon Martin has been suspended (and expelled?) from multiple schools for fighting.  He is a regular user of marijuana … possibly other drugs … and is likely a small-time drug dealer.  He has bragged about his gang connections on Facebook … as well as posting personal pornography there.  Whereas, George Zimmerman is a Afro-American A-student and has ambitions of getting into law enforcement (or, to use the media’s pejorative, is a “wannabe cop”).

Zimmerman is licensed to carry and has volunteered for his neighborhood watch after multiple incidents of white punks invading homes there and robbing black residents.  On the fateful night, Trayvon is suspiciously on his way back to his white father’s house there as he has just been suspended from school for 10 days … probably for punching-out a school-bus driver.  You know the rest of the story … white Trayvon Martin is dead and black George Zimmerman is accused of second-degree murder.  President George W. Bush has said that Trayvon Martin looks like he could have been his son.

Would an all-black jury in Florida have found our transformed George Zimmerman guilty of anything? Come-on, get serious. Justice is blind … but it is not brain-dead.
