Dr. Oz was on the Tucker Carlson TV show last night touting good news. ... that a new drug treatment for coronavirus looks very promising. A combination of Hydroxychloroquine and Zithromax has been given to 89 virus patients and all but one survived!
This sounds like great news, right? Let’s see ... 1 out of 89 is a mortality of about 1.1%. Isn’t that about the overall mortality rate of COVID-19 in the U.S. anyway? Where am I going wrong?
Afterward: In his presser tonight, Trump indicated that tomorrow (Monday) a trial of these drugs was being started on over 1,100 infected patients in NY. Fingers crossed.
