Someone who wins the confidence of people with promises using rhetoric and showmanship in order to benefit financially, socially and/or politically ... and, importantly, then doesn't deliver on the promises made.

Good description of current POTUS. Bravo!
Somehow I knew you would say this. But the thing you are overlooking is that our current POTUS is oing what he promised. With all his flaws, he is indeed keeping our head above water ... which you and your ilk may not realize for some time.
Doing what he promised? I'll give you the one thing I agreed with (Expressing a pro-Israel stance. But, big Wall paid for by Mexico (not happening), Repeal and replace, (didn't happen). Immigration is messier now than before he took office. If hollowing-out of all consumer protections and pissing off our allies as doing what he promised, I say "hogwash".
