I have been concerned that China’s President Xi might have gone to school on America’s 2020 elections and pulled Taiwan back into China’s orbit by rigging the current elections there.
But no! The elections there are over and the ruling Democratic Progressive Party won the election in a rebuff to China’s threat of war. See: Reuters story for the happy details.
Unfortunately, this could also mean that China might take the opportunity of an enfeebled Biden’s last year in office … and the prospect of an unfriendly Trump re-election … to invade this island. Not a happy thought!

Not sure if it's good news or not! Biden just stated that the U.S. does not support independence for Taiwan. It's in the news noq
Gordon Chang said that Xi, in his New Year’s message, vowed China will reacquire Taiwan in 2024! Biden has also said we would defend Taiwan … so his words mean nothing. What is noq?
