What is the motivation of those on the dark side of the civil war? It certainly not unity or patriotism ... and probably not pushing back against racism or xenophobia ... or even Trump’s narcissism. To this observer , it is primarily Bernie Sanders’ style anti-American socialism, plain and simple. Is that where you perch?
I always thought of myself as a moderate. I register Independent because no party seems to represent me. The motivation is to help people who were born unlucky, increase accountability for government spending, reduce our military footprint, restore our reputation as a world leader, and remove Trump and his enablers from power (and change the Democratic leadership as well -- to increase bipartisan cooperation). No one wins in a civil war.
