You are a piece of flotsam being carried along in life’s creek.
Your "either/or" thesis leaks like an octogenarian's bladder.
There are many states of existence beyond those simplistic binary descriptions.
E.G., You can be the hunter and also be prey to an even bigger hunter.
Caught me! OK, I didn’t mean to say that the whole world is binary ... only these things.
