Most humans crave constancy ... they want to be grounded in their lives. They want their media to maintain a constant approach to the news ... be it factual or, to use a popular term, “fake.” This reliability gives them comfort. That is why their news readers on television are called “anchors.” They care not so much if their news is biased ... just that it is consistently biased.
