Political Silliness

I guess I’ll never understand those silly people who vote for somebody for president BECAUSE they are gay, or tall, or black, or female, or Catholic, or a heterosexual male with orange hair. I sincerely doubt if any of these attributes guarantees stellar performance once in office.

Would you choose your brain surgeon only because she was a transgender Mormon?

I could vote for any seasoned business executive provided that they were respected by their peers, known for leadership in domestic and international business and humanitarian organizations, and would expose their audited financial history for scrutiny. Certainly not a TV personality of questionable morals and ethics whose finances are off-limits. Even if they said they knew people who knew people who could make problems go away.

Should Pelosi and Bloomberg release their tax returns?

Sure. Anyone who wants to run for a government position should reveal their revenue streams, maybe not their wealth. I suppose you could back off at the level of the local school committee but why not? They are public employees who want to spend our money. The US government is not a privately held institution...is it?

I think Pelosi said she will release her tax returns when she runs for president ... and Mike Bloomberg is so running. I’ll pass on your recommendation.
