A Thanksgiving Thank You

An Ukrainian mother and child refugees, Tanya and Arinochka, have been staying with us for close to two months in our extra basement apartment. Today, Thanksgiving, we had them join us for turkey and all the fixings.

After we had finished dessert, Tanya gave us the following hand-written note:

Arinochka and I are very grateful to this warm, sympathetic native family, for the fact that they treated us like family members, for doing everything to make us feel at home.  Happy thanksgiving. Thank you for letting us be part of your family.  We love you all.

No, no, thank you Tanya for opening our eyes a lot further.

STAND UP FOR UKRAINE!
