If our current federal government respects local laws at sanctuary cities and states … restricting ICE officers from carrying out mandated deportations of wanted illegal immigrants … why then are they contesting other local laws designed to impede these border jumping in the first place?
Shouldn’t they be consistent?
One can only conclude that illegal immigration is our current federals’ illegal objective!

Trump and Mike Johnson are killing the House vote on the border deal because (1) they know it would pass; and (2) this would wreck their strategy of claiming Biden alone owns what happens at the border.
