Pilgrim, everyone tends to dismiss negative news about the politicians we favor … but the telling discernment is how important is this news? An exaggeration about a personal matter or a major policy screw-up? I am constantly amazed at the inability for many to make this distinction. — Fletcher

Bolton says Trump turned down the Russian offer of a Whelan-Bout swap years ago.
Blinken says Russia would not swap Whelan for Bout.
Who ya gonna believe? Can both be true?
If Trump turned down the swap because it would lead to more detained Americans (to be held as pawns) I would agree with him. I do not approve of the Griner-Bout swap for the same reason.
