Poison Pill

It has been reported that Russia has captured the huge nuclear power plant at Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine … and is supposedly mining its six reactors to blackmail Europe into capitulating to Putin’s demands. It’s being breathlessly reported that, were this Roman candle to be set off, it would be 10 times worse than Chernobyl. It is not clear whether this is true.

Perhaps it is so … but Pilgrim, it can’t be forgotten that, if Russia were to blow this bad boy, it likely would damage Russia as much or more than it would sully the EU with radiation.

The rub however is … does Putin still care enough about Mother Russia that he would step back from this poison-pill brinkmanship?
