I have written before about impeachment and possible conviction of our fearless leader ... see: The I-Word. Now the Democrats are hyping this remote probability and using it with their voter base to raise funds ... $1 million a day last week in multiple e-mail appeals. The Republicans, with a few exceptions, are avoiding this tar-baby like the plague. And rightfully so. It appears to many that the Democrats are also using impeachment, like Slick Willy did in 1998, to improve Democrat turnout in what now may be an election Donnybrook for them ... particularly in the Senate.
If, on the other hand, the Republicans can keep their heads and their powder dry ... and, if Obama does carry through with his illegal-immigrant blanket amnesty threats in September, then the Republicans just might pick up enough seats in both houses to deliver a stinging censure to Obama ... not that he would particularly give a rat's patootie.
