Cassidy Hutchinson testified under oath on Tuesday that on January 6, 2021 President Trump insisted the he be taken to the Capitol to lead his followers in the insurrection … and he tried to grab the steering wheel of the Beast (his limo) when the Secret Service denied his request on security concerns.

Now I ask you Pilgram, look at the Beast above. Is this narrative possible?

And the Secret Service has denied that this happened … and that Trump threw a plate of food at the White House wall as Hutchinson also testified.

Even more damaging to the Jan 6 committee’s narrative. If Trump wasn’t allowed near the Capitol then, how was he expected to stop things later on when things got out of control? Huh?

My mother, Sara B. Burns, taught David Eisenhower …  Ike’s grandson and the person for whom “Camp David” was named … in third grade at Saint Stephen’s school In Alexandria, VA in 1956/57.  One day she asked him if he wanted his grandfather to be re-elected president? He replied “yes!” And when asked why? He responded because he would get to swim in the White House pool for another four years.

My mother related this conversation in a short note to President Eisenhower … and got the above signed reply.

Fast forward sixty-six years to the beaches of Normandy where this same David Eisenhower is giving a tour of this iconic battlefield. A fraternity brother on this tour recalls this highly appropriate tour guide relating this very same charming incident during his offering.

Sometimes the world really does shrink into poignancy …

The Left loves to bait Trump with the possibility of a DeSantis run.  If Donald Trump is infirmed … or has lost his fastball by 2024, my preference for candinancy would be Mike Pompeo for president and Ron DeSantis for VP. The rationale here would be that the international expertise would lie with the presidency and the domestic side, with DeSantis. 

In other words, it would take two policy experts to replace The Don … albeit somewhat less acerbic … well, with Pompeo anyway.

The Difference

I have a suspicion that the revulsion on the left to Trump’s rallies and tweets was pretty similar to what we on the right feel toward Biden’s Teleprompter ungrounded meanderings.

There is one major difference however … under Trump, things … low inflation, the economy, the Mexican border, the COVID vaccines, relations with Russia, tariffs, rebuilding our military, more on-shore manufacturing, employment …were mostly going swimmingly … whereas under Biden, the sewer has backed up and we are knee deep in smelly Democrat policies.

No wonder never-Trumpers focus their spleen on the man and not what he accomplished.
