The Left loves to bait Trump with the possibility of a DeSantis run.  If Donald Trump is infirmed … or has lost his fastball by 2024, my preference for candinancy would be Mike Pompeo for president and Ron DeSantis for VP. The rationale here would be that the international expertise would lie with the presidency and the domestic side, with DeSantis. 

In other words, it would take two policy experts to replace The Don … albeit somewhat less acerbic … well, with Pompeo anyway.
