As a child of 12 …  on Saturday nights, I used to listen … ear glued to the small Philco radio at my grandparent’s home in wsestrn Pennsylvania … to some West Virginia radio station (WSM?) … blaring out the Grand Ole Opy … Minnie Pearl (“how-dee”) and  all the regulars. Transported me to the Nashville Ryman Auditorium long  before I knew exactly where it was. Sweet nostalgia  …
