Glockophobia

A Glock handgun

"Only criminals, dictators and Democrats fear armed citizens" -- Mostly Cajun blog

A gun is not just an equalizing weapon between physically weaker persons and ones who would do them harm ... but an armed citizenry also keeps its government from oppressing its people. Those who pooh-pooh this latter possibility are ironically usually the same ones who claim that Trump wants to become a despot. Such thwarting of possible tyranny was the genius of our founding fathers when they penned our Second Amendment ... a right only subservient to that of freedom of speech in the FirstAmendment to our prescient Constitution.

This freedom understanding is built into the DNA of most Americans and those trying to annul this right need to rethink their Glockophobia.

  1. What a crock! The founding fathers never anticipated that the government would have bazooka's and rockets delivered by drones (ie, overwhelming force). The reason why sensible folks fear Trump's quest for Emperor status is that the self-styled militia's will be vaporized and useless. You don't bring an AR-15 to a tank attack.

    1. Let me understand your logic ... because the government has more fire-power, we, its citizens, should not have any? I think the Iraqi insurgents did quite well against our tanks, etc. with less.

    2. Also, who is your forefathers source? Madison? Jefferson? I think they were bright enough to realize that weapons would keep improving on their historic trajectory.

    3. If Trump starts to assume dictatorial powers, millions of Americans (including the NRA) will resist. The only issue will be that, since he has already been accused of same, the media has cried wolf too often and will have less credibility then (which I sincerely doubt will ever happen)

    4. Since you question my speculation about the FF's future vision, please elucidate me with your superior facts. Where did you see evidence that Jefferson, et al anticipated high powered weapons, laser-guided rockets, nerve gas? Moon rockets? Self driving automobiles, Google, heart transplants... need I go on?
