Ilya Shapiro has penned an interesting, if somewhat strained article in The Federalist pinning the rise of Donald Trump on the deciding Obamacare decisions by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, John Roberts. (Tip of the hat to my wife for this reference.) Yes, there is some logic behind this supposition, but it seems to this observer that it was Obummer himself who was the primary culprit behind Obamacare. Justice John Roberts was but a secondary audience member in this sad legislative kabuki play.
So Trump's candidacy is a rebound reaction to Obummer's fumbled attempt to remake our health care system (among many other snotty actions) in the same way that Obummer's election was a rebound reaction to George W. Bush's war in Iraq ... and Bush '43's election was a rebound reaction to President "Slick Willie" Clinton's slimy personal behavior. This has become a predictable presidential precedent ... like the bumptious bouncing of these two previous presidential jack-in-the-boxes.
Boing!
