Closing arguments for trials traditionally start with the prosecution followed by the defense. In Trump’s “hush money” trial, Judge Juan Merchan has reversed this order … the prosecution is going last. Pilgrim, do I need to explain why?
Afterward: And look to this judge to lean heavily on the scales with his instructions to the jurors. For shame!
After Afterward: Although Judge Merchan has restricted the lawyers’ closing arguments from discussing the law … “that’s my job” … he allowed the prosecution to do so, over the defense’s objection, when they made their closing argument … the same case that I made in the blog post — Setting the Table.
Sometimes I think I should have been a lawyer.
STAND UP TO INJUSTICE!
