Budget Deficit Smoke

Democrats like to claim that Trump added $8.6 trillion to the national debt … and Joey Mumbles loves to brag that he reduced the national debt (he meant deficit) by $1.8 trillion.

Yes, Pilgrim, amazingly both statements are true.

But, like most political claims, these two need explaining … lets start by looking at the actual deficits:

2017     $665 billion

2018     $779 billion

2019     $994 billion

2020   $3,132 billion

2021    $2,772 billion

2022    $1,375 billion

 2023    $1.439 bullion (CBO estimate)

2024     $1.571 billion (CBO estimate)

2025    $1,318 billion CBO estimate)

2026    $1,364 billion (CBO estimate)

2027    $1,409 billion (CBO estimate)

2028    $1,725 billion (CBO estimate)

2029    $1,651 billion (CBO estimate)

2030    $1,912 billion (CBO estimate)

2031    $2,067 billion (CBO estimate)

2032    $2,253 billion (CBO estimate)

2023-32 Total        $15,740 billion (CBO estimate)

(If you need to check these numbers, see: CBO Site.)

As you can see, a whole lot of the Trump deficit happened in 2020, the year of the Wuhan Red Death … when business was shut down … causing a loss of tax revenue … and bailout money was strewn around like candy on Halloween.

And in 2021 and 2022, our economy bounced back like a kangaroo with a hot foot … yet Biden kept right on spending … and it looks like he has locked in deficits for years to come.

Do you understand the kerfuffle upset in the House of Representatives now … just among the Republicans of course?

STAND UP TO DEFICITS!
