Men of War

Presidents Putin and Zelensky could not possibly oversee up-close the killing of tens of thousands of their soldiers who have been slaughtered on the battlefields of Ukraine  … their moral revulsion would prohibit it … even Putin.

Yet, from afar, they can send them to the grave using justifications that are most important to them and those sitting in relative safety around them. Thus is the bothersome truth of kinetic conflict.
