Hypersonic Missiles

 

Russia, China and the U.S. all have hypersonic missiles … traveling 5 to 7 times the speed of sound and posing serious threats to air defenses … both on land and at sea.

Since it is doubtful that anti-missile rockets could travel fast enough to defeat this threat, your humble blogger surmises that only lethal lasers have any hope of opposing this menace … since they travel at the speed of light … much much much faster than the speed of sound.

Let us hope that we have such weapons …
