Someone Paid Nearly Half A Million Dollars To Be Snoop Dogg’s Virtual Neighbor

The metaverse is Facebook’s (now Meta’s) new Sandbox … expecting Americans to blow million$ on ephemeral entities  … virtual reality, cryptocurrencies, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), etc. if you will.

Perhaps Zuckerberg has a clear vision of how our future will evolve … as I am sure that Meta has spent considerable sums on market research. So I will not be surprised if the world of electronic substitutions for today’s tangibilities … money, paintings, real (ironic?) estate, sculpture and anything else that can get abstracted into the metaverse. How about people, towns, skyscrapers, literature … maybe even planets or even stars or galaxies?

However, unlike the tangible world, these abstractions of same can … and I predict will … disappear at some future point, in a puff of electronic smoke!
