Nancy Pelosi obviously wanted to skip off to her delayed trip to Europe … so she let the House finally pass the Infrastructure bill with a combination of “moderate” Democrats and 13 liberal Republicans. The vote was 228 to 206 … see: Powerline post for analysis.

Let me add one obvious comment … it’s still a mostly rotten bill … but this vote effectively defangs the ultra-left wing of the Democrat party. They no longer will carry the day in Washington. This is almost worth an extra trillion dollars in debt … only “almost!”

Afterward: Even if just that portion allocated for actual infrastructure were still there at the end of Kamala Harris’ term, it would be a plus. But, pilgrim, we all know it will mostly go for environmental studies and lawyers.
