In the contest for hegemony between the United States and China, obviously China’s much larger pool of cheap labor gives it a clear leg up with its manufacturing might.
However, at some level of universal automation, this advantage could well become a burden ... when President-for-life Xi can’t find jobs for hundreds of millions of his citizens replaced by robots. This could be quite unsettling.
