The Capitalist’s Dilemma

“The Capitalists will sell us the rope with which we will hang them.” — Vladimir Lenin

The basis of capitalism is that its entrepreneurs should operate in their own economic self-interest.

However, using Apple and Nike as examples, should these companies cut their own throats by backing away from their huge cost advantage because of their manufacturing in China ... when this short-term edge is contributing to the longer-term economic decline of their home country ... possibly abetting slave labor ... and, the worst, supporting a dangerous international adversary?

I wish I had a solution to this emerging dilemma of capitalism. Do you, kind readers?
