Fear can be a great motivator or a great deterrer of people. Governments often use fear as a way of controlling their populations ... witness global warming mania, rampaging anarchist mobs and the Covid pandemic panic. The major exception being FDR’s “the only thing to fear is fear itself” ... wonder why? — Fletcher
