National trauma has a way of revealing the true nature of people. Events of the last few days have stripped the make-up off of a host of political players who have crowded into the spotlight to proclaim this and that without any sense of what they were actually barng to the world.
Betsy DeVos, Mike Kelly, Ilhan Omar, Nikki Haley, Michelle Obama, Mick Mulvaney, Bill Barr, Lindsey Graham, Nancy Pelosi (although she does it daily), Chuck Schumer, Elaine Chao, Joe Biden, Charlie Baker and on and on ... it is very crowded under that klieg light.
These are all very small people! Every one trying to tie down an orange-colored Gulliver.
