Today’s Poser

With all of today’s enormous computing power, big (coronavirus) data and A.I. advances ... why haven’t we been able to better forecast how the  COVID-19 pandemic will proceed?

  1. Here's what I want to know:
    - How might everything be magically safer two weeks from now?
    - Will be people that catch it and recover still be able to transmit it? (to me)
    - Would a magic bullet vaccine get super fast-tracked especially for people who are the most vulnerable? (like me)
    - Can the virus be carried on mail, packages, and paper money?

  2. Why can't I ask the President of the United States?

  3. I have answers for Chillfin:

    1. We are all gonna die! (But maybe not of virus) Stay quarantined till Trump's spiritual adviser Paula White casts the demons out of the country. But you may have to bend the knee to Trump first.
    2. Most virus patients develop some immunity for themselves, but no one knows yet whether they can still spread it to others. I believe this is true of all viruses.
    3. Fast tracked = no clinical trials. You feel lucky?
    4. They say packages and mail can be sanitized with spray. Wash hands after handling/opening or use gloves to open. Do not pick up magazines in waiting rooms. Try to avoid waiting rooms. What is this "paper money" of which you speak? Is that like bitcoin?

  4. Sorry, ... I was being a wise guy in my previous answer ... since they have been hypercritically political of what is happening. I hope most of your questions were answered in Trump’s presser today.

  5. Trump is finally confronted with the fact that he fired the US pandemic response team in 2018

Trump first says its a "nasty question" and then says he DOESN'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT IT.

    On top of it.

  6. Is that the only thing you got out of that press conference?

  7. No, it was perfect.

  8. Answer to original poser: Perhaps they are using the same computer models as the climate deniers?

  9. The climate deniers are using common sense. It is the climate “scientists” who have created all these bogus models ... and even fudged the data to make our climate appear to be warming due to human activity
