No fair! — Most children
Where does it say that life is fair? — Most mother’s
Fairness is so relative ... that what is fair for you is not always fair for me. One would hope that life has a way of evening things out ... but not always. That is why an angelic child dies a painful diseased death ... while a despicable misanthrope becomes a multi-multimillionaire disparaging those below.
And, if there is no afterlife, where is the justice ... the fairness? (Was this Dante’s justification for his elaborate constructions?)
