The notion is that single-use paper or plastic is wasteful. However paper recycles or decomposes easily while single-use plastic clogs up the recycling machinery or simply persists forever.

ReplyDeleteI use my own cloth bags and have for several years. Single-use paper or plastic -- bags, cups, straws, plates, utensils -- is clearly extravagant. No more physical magazines or media for me either. It is the way life used to be.
ReplyDeleteWhen we stop using petroleum, will we go back to killing whales for their blubber to grease our machinery? Or will we get rid of machines too?
