    A great argument, suggesting that the authors of said amendment did not anticipate the development of semi automatic rifles that could be used to kill a dozen schoolkids or churchgoers in mere minutes.

  2. When only the police have weapons (like in Venezuela), then you know you are living in a police state. Keeping children safe can be done without a police state.
