Melanin

If the Democrats (or Republicans for that matter) run a person of color for president in 2020 based on the notion that our electorate will once again cast a "I'm not a racist" vote ... ignoring policy considerations ... they will likely be disappointed. Barack Obama did enough damage to America during his eight years to trench us that skin color does not necessarily translate into good national policies.

Yes, of course a person of color can once again be our president ... but hopefully not just because he/she has more dermal melanin.
