Truth

Truth is a beautiful butterfly flitting from flower to flower ... just prior to a curious child pulling its wings off. -- Anon.

  1. A perfect analogy to Trump's assault on truth: pulling the wings off and stomping on the body.

  2. Your definition of truth is very flawed. Truth isolates a moment in time. The butterfly was truly beautiful and lively, and then it was not. And the child that destroys it is no better than the collector that gases it to mount in a trophy case. Still a beautiful butterfly yet deprived of that frivolity of "flitting from flower to flower", the life force. Dead yet beautiful.

    1. "Truth is beauty" ... yet very fragile and elusive ...
