Tipping Point

The major TV networks and most major print media have been the historic arbiters of what is and is not news. The Internet and talk radio have been gradually changing things until we may have reached a tipping point. Right after last November's election, whether or not it was orchestrated, headline news became that Hillary lost because of collusion between Trump and the Russians to rig the election.

Now, eight months later and despite the appointment of a special prosecutor, the evidence is scant to nonexistent that such collusion ever occurred. Attempts to keep this meme alive seem to feel like the fourth weak reverberation in an echo canyon. Yes, Robert Mueller and his dozen Democrat esquires are yet to speak ... and they are bound to come up with something to justify their existence. But, for the nonce, it appears that the strangle hold that these former media giants had on the American psyche has been greatly diminished. The true tipping point maybe yet to come ... but we are surely getting close.

How will we know if this inflection point has indeed occurred? Watch to see if the New York Times stops running as many hit pieces on Trump and the Republicans ... or if it folds its tent instead ...
