"Let it Snow" ...

'

"The weather outside is frightful" ... Boston and surrounds are suffering (or enjoying depending on your point of view) another spurt of snow ... to exceed 20 inches and likely more. As they say, snow brings more snow. Anyhow, these "blizzards" remind me of another song I first heard in a movie with  Esther Williams, Ricardo Montelban, Red Skelton and Betty Garrett, "Neptune's Daughter." The actual name of this song is "Baby it's Cold Outside" which was innocently seductive yet coquettish between Ricardo and Ester ... Red and Betty ... see the above YouTube video Yet, like much feminist loopiness these days, it is now branded as a "rape song." A rape song! Egad!

If this little ditty is a rape song, then most of the sexual-tension dialogue in modern sitcoms is also to be branded by those leg-hair ladies ... not as boy-girl banter ... but as rape repartee. Why are these frustrated feminists so condemning with such little evidence? I have a theory which I won't share here. But what's that old saying? Get your mind out of the (gender) gutter girls!
