President Obama can’t catch a break. When does he hold his African summit? Right in the middle of a huge world-wide panic over the Ebola virus ... which is now a killing machine on much of this continent. 90% of all people who contract this virus die a gruesome death. Estimates now place the official number of these cases at well over 1000 … see: CIDRAP Statistics. The unofficial count is thought to be many times this number.

Not that this notion of lifting African business and infrastructure into the 21^st Century is not a noble one … it clearly is. I actually am impressed that our current administration seems to be finally doing something right … (see: Reuters Story) ... except for its timing that is.
