Haiku

Haiku is a highly stylized form of Japanese poetry ... usually dealing with nature ... always of three lines.  The first line contains five syllables, the second has seven syllables, and the third five again. I have a blog containing a number of my haiku poetry attempts ... some good ... a few doggerel.  If you wish to visit it, go to Haiku Wanderings.  Here is one of my better results which took first place in a Haiku contest:

The eclipsing moon
Hangs in the evening sky
Like a mournful god
