George W. Bush is comfortably ensconced back in Texas … making Laura’s morning coffee and licking his wounds. And I say, “Good riddance!” Clearly, our worst President can no longer run up huge budget deficits which our children and grandchildren will have no hope of repaying. He no longer can escalate military offenses in far away lands where American sons and daughters will go the die or lose their limbs. He can no longer gaff his way through unscripted press conferences and photo ops. He can no longer try to reward all this nation's illegal aliens with citizenship and Social Security benefits. He can no longer nominate people to his administration who are tainted with malfeasance or unethical pasts. He can no longer sully America’s standing with our foreign friends and enemies alike with his naïve diplomatic judgments. He can no longer reward his supporters with larded-up government spending. He can no longer ruin our economy with his constant doom and gloom predictions. He can no longer wage his petty “war on terror.” He can no longer endorse steps to alleviate global warming. He can no longer keep Guantanamo open so that peace-loving Islamists are constantly tortured and kept in subhuman conditions. And he can no longer fiddle-fart around while Rome burns.
Thank God for the wisdom of the American electorate.
Thank God for the wisdom of the American electorate.
You should not be so hard on the guy. A lot of people (me included)thought he was less of a dumbass than the guys he ran against in two elections.
ReplyDeleteDon't forget his election by one of the Supreme Court's worst decisions, the world's worst terrorist attack, the fraudulent war in Iraq (dishonestly budgeted to disguise its role in the worst deficits in decades), the failure to kill Bin Ladin after almost 8 years, the elimination of habeas corpus, the failure to stop North Korean and Iranian nukes, the unconstitutional violation of FISA, and the worst economic crisis in 75 years -- all on Bush's watch or directly caused by Dick Ch-- I mean, by George Bush.
ReplyDeleteI can hear Cappy's knee jerking all the way through the internet.
ReplyDeleteI just want to know why Obama keeps giving bailout money to Auto Manufacturers. It would make more sense to give big vouchers to car buyers and let them decide who should succeed and who should fail.
ReplyDeleteThis crap about forcing Detroit to make green cars that most of us DO NOT WANT is starting to smell like totalitarianism.
Or a tax deduction for the interest paid and sales taxes paid when buying a new car ... which was part of the stimulus bill until "pucker" Pelosi pulled it out in conference committee. (It would have been too stimulative.)
ReplyDeleteGeorge, did the 9/11 attack happen during someone else's presidency? I didn't think so.
ReplyDeleteInstead of an empty knee-jerk response, how about a little "critical thinking"? Can you come up with anything of substance? Or is Bush just too tough for you to defend?
It must be easy to write a blog where you never have to defend a single idea.
Yes, and instead of Cappy responding to my post's instructive irony (pointing out how Obama is traveling many of the same routes as Bush ... instead of just excusing Bush as accused), he(?) reverts to "Bush lied, people died", a form of compulsive derangement that substitutes for balanced logic. I will not bore Cappy ... like he(?) bores us ... with the time-worn back-and-forth rhetoric of the past nine years. (And it would be nice if he came out from behind his(?) nom-de-guerre curtain and gave us his(?) real name.)
