One of Ron DeSantis most effective arguments against Trump is that he didn’t keep his promise to “drain the swamp.” He left Christopher Wray running theFBI for over three years … and never “locked her up.”
Admittedly, he was pretty busy with Russiagate, the Mexican border, China, two impeachments and COVID … but, nevertheless, this fault does bring into question whether he would do the task with four more years.
And, watching what he has done in Florida, I have no doubt that DeSantis would do a better job of this cleansing than Trump. However,I don’t believe he would do better policy-wise … particularly internationally.
Thus, I still prefer the Don over the Ron. But, Pilgrim, if Trump does recapture the White House, he needs DeSantis beside him “slitting throats” … maybe as his VP or Attorney General.
Hopefully, Trump will win … and see this need.
STAND UP FOR PUSHBACK!

Dream on, Fletcher. Neither of your preferred autocrats has a real chance at being POTUS. Fortunately, the majority the voting public can see criminal behavior and obvious phoniness.
I, too, am hoping that Trump is the GOP nominee, so I can sleep at night.
Empty opinion is worthless.
As are your pronouncements, hunches and distortions.
Definition: Empty opinion — assertion devoid of any supporting data and logic
Assertions based on lies and distortions are likewise worthless.
The hypothetical you outlined is pure fiction.
I assert that Trump wasn't *too busy* to spend over 100 days and $140 Million playing golf during his presidency after promising not to, if elected.
Pretty steep green fees …
