Rush Limbaugh, when Barack Obama first took office, trumpeted that now famous challenge, "I hope he fails." Unfortunately, President Obama has succeeded beyond I think even his wildest HOPE. He has been a one-man wrecking ball to the many structures that once made the United States the leader of the free world ... and he and his Svengali, Valerie Jarrettt, unfortunately still have a year and a half left to cause even more havoc.
Without getting into the gritty details, this disaster of a chief executive has mortgaged our great-grandchildren's future, corrupted just about every executive department, continually lied to the American people, gutted our military, alienated our allies, cozied up to our enemies, set race relations back generations, pissed on our Constitution, stifled our economy, rewarded failure, punished success, created new entitlements that probably will persist forever, broken numerous laws with impunity, abetted illegal immigration, ransacked our health-care system, elevate pop-culture banality to preeminence, encouraged much of our lap-dog media to ignore these many evil transformations ... and I am sure there are more sins that we will learn about as historians sift through this two-term carnage..
But there is one positive ... as David Brooks once observed, Obama still has a sharp crease to his trousers. The question of the day is ... does Hillary also take equally good care of her pants suits?

So tell us about how much better McCain-Palin and Romney would have made society and the world. Please. Enough with the nay-saying. And which one of the clowns in the GOP funny car will bring back the righteous and true American exceptionalism.
McCain no, but Romney, probably would have helped. I doubt if any current Republican candidate can right our ship of state in even two terms. Does this mean we needn't try? And, BTW, are "clown" and "funny car" your bit of nay-saying? I think my analyses in this piece didn't resort to such name-calling ...
One more thing. I would welcome your arguments against any of the points I made.
The Dems have their own clowns and clown car. I can't decry pols who feel that they want to see if they can set a plank but who would bet that Christie, Jindal, Trump, Fiorino, Cruz, or Perry could actually win the party's endorsement and the presidency?
As to the nay-saying, calling a man a wrecking ball, success at failure, and anticipating more havoc is easily interpreted as "To oppose, deny, or take a pessimistic or negative view." I ain't sayin', I'm just sayin'...
As to the clown car and clown references, you have to admit that Trump should be backing somebody with his wealth instead of baiting them with his fireballs. The other candidates are trying to not react to him at all. Will they really have a ten candidate debate and not invite the leader, the Donald? Or are the chosen ten whoever Ailes decides is Foxy enough to be "fair and balanced(r)"?
There is a difference between playground taunts and serious criticism ...

Sorry for the delay. It is a work day and I am working man, making an honest living and paying taxes. Might not get to it for a day or so.
This'll take some time. I am initiating my own blog, "On the one hand..." which will start chipping away at your points. Many of those points will follow from Eisenhower's final speech in 1961 on the dangers of the military-industrial complex, Sam Walton's 1992 book "Made in America," as ignored by his progeny, the amazing urge of too many citizens 'gaming the system' to proudly feel they deserve full disability, the pride of financiers that make the average investor feel like chattel, the profiteering in the healthcare industry, and the exceptional belief that America should rule and police the world. And of course the morality and ethics of American Presidents and citizens when the shock-and-awe of unilaterally invading a sovereign nation under false pretenses is not a crime but trying to reign in healthcare is grounds for impeachment. It'll take a few posts to get up to speed...
